View the full story ... | Comments (10) Philosophy My (irregular) religious beliefs Zaller Media Management 15 Apr 2007 I haven’t quite settled myself into the tract of outright disbelief in God and subsequent religious concepts, although I’m certainly nearing such a pathway everyday, closer and closer. I’m reasonably certain that there exists some force beyond the material reality that composes the human identity—perhaps a soul, if you will—but I’m nearly positive that any possibility in the afterlife must be rejected and dismissed by logical individuals as psychological and religious braggadocio—it is merely a collection of Janus-faced omens used to moor superiority and authoritative dominion over the willing rabble. View the full story ... | Comments (2) Philosophy Debating in a logical manner Zaller Media Management 15 Apr 2007 I’ve been musing quite considerably lately about political ideologies—those organized belief systems which seem to pervade nearly every individual on the Right and Left. What differs political ideologies from say, moderatism, is that they are systematically arranged based on several philosophical underpinnings, usually concerning human behavior, economic justice, fairness, equality, and religion. Generally, the more politically involved an individual is, the more defined and pronounced their political ideology—although there exist a small minority of political involved individuals who seek completely unbiased ends, such as the increase of their own wealth and nothing else.
